RRB ALP 2018-19 Exam – CBT 2 Result Date & Answer Key

 

Dear Aspirants,
The 2nd Stage CBT for ALP & Technician Posts against CEN 01/2018 was conducted on 21.01.19, 22.01.19 & 23.01.19. However, for a certain number of candidates, the CBT could not start/complete on these dates at some of the venues on account of technical reasons. Accordingly, for such candidates the 2nd Stage CBT is rescheduled on 08.02.2019.

Railway Recruitment 2018: Loco Pilot & Technicians 

Dear Students, Railway Recruitment Board released the recruitment notification on 2nd Feb 2018 for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot & Technicians. Only single online application (common to all the notified posts- ALP & Technicians) has to be submitted by the candidate through the link provided in this post. Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply.

RRB ALP/Technician Result:

RRB has postponed the examination date of Railway ALP 2nd Stage.With this ALP Stage I Exam Revised Result 2018 is likely to be published by 20th December 2018. RRBs have decided to review the answers of all the questions. Few candidates have represented that there are errors in question/translation. In the wake of these representation all language translation of all the question papers are being reviewed.

Assistant Loco Pilot & Technicians Pay Scale:

Level 02 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs.19900/- plus other allowances as admissible. 
 

Educational Qualification:

Name Of Post Qualification
Loco Pilot (ALP) 10th/12th standard + ITI in the relevant trade
or
10th/12th standard + Diploma in the relevant trade
or
10th/12th + Degree In Engineering
Technicians 10th/12th + ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.

Some Important Points:

Candidates holding Degree, Diploma and HSC (10+2) having eligibility for the posts of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades listed against their engineering discipline(which includes Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , Mechanical Engineering ,Automobile  Engineering with the combination of various streams in the respective Engineering Traits is acceptable for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot).
  • Candidates passed out with Physics and Maths in intermediate(12th Standard) are eligible for Technician Grade III Signal and Technician Grade III Telecommunication posts namely Post 70 and Post 71 respectively.
  • It has been notified that for the post of Technicians, Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in place of course completed Act Apprentice/ITI unless it is specified otherwise. Following the same, Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in place of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA)
Note:  Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply. 

Railway ALP Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years

Age Limit as on 01st July 2018 i.e. born not earlier than 02.07.1990 and not later than 02.07.2000, for all above posts.
The maximum age relaxation:

  • OBC – by 3 years & SC/ST – by 5 years

Application Fees:

  • UR & OBC: Rs. 500/-
  • SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs. 250/-
The Borad has now declared that the application fee of Rs. 400/- will be refunded for Unreserved Candidates appearing for Railway Recruitment Exam and the complete exam fee of Rs. 250/- will be refunded for candidates belonging to reserved category.

RRB ALP/Technician Selection process:

For the post of ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot):-

  1. First stage CBT
  2. Second Stage CBT)
  3. Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT).
  4. Document Verification and Empanelling of Candidates

For the post of Technician:

  1. First stage CBT
  2. Second Stage CBT)
  3. Document Verification and Empanelling of Candidates

Note:Marks will be normalized in all the stages of exam.

Exam Pattern Of RRB ALP/Technician:

First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

This exam will be of qualifying in nature. But Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are:
UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%.

Computer Based Aptitude Test (Only for candidates who have opted for ALP)

  • The candidate needs to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible.
  • There shall be no negative marking in Computer Based AT.
  • The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer Based AT.

For Technician posts:-

 

Based on the performance of candidates in Part Aof the Second Stage CBT subject to their qualifying the Part B of Second Stage CBT.
For ALP:-
Based on the performance of candidates in both Part A of the Second Stage CBT and Computer Based AT subject to their qualifying the Part B of Second Stage CBT.
Note: Any attempt by a candidate to submit more than one application against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment.
