The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the exam schedule for the RRB JE Recruitment 2024, which will fill 7,951 Junior Engineer positions. RRB JE Selection Process 2024

RRB JE selection process includes two computer-basted tests i.e. CBT 1 and CBT 2 followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. Candidates appearing in CBT 1 will be shortlisted based on merit for CBT 2. The merit list will be prepared to qualify several candidates that will equal 15 times the total vacancies.

RRB JE Exam Pattern 2024

The first and second phases of the examination will be Computer-based Tests. These CBTs will have objective or multiple-choice questions. The total duration of the examination is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Students who will qualify in the first phase can appear in CBT 2.

• Duration: 90 Minutes (120 Minutes for candidates with Scribe)
• Number of Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd Marks
• Nature of CBT: Screening Test
• Normalization: Applicable
• Number of Candidates Shortlisted: 15 times the vacancies

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern

The subjects asked in the RRB JE 2024 CBT II are General Awareness, Physics and Chemistry, Basic Knowledge of Computer Application, fundamentals of Environmental and Pollution, and Technical Abilities.

• Number of Questions: 150
• Total Marks: 150

The candidates qualifying for the cut-off of CBT 1 will be promoted or eligible for the CBT 2 examination. Candidates should focus on CBT 1 seriously as the syllabus for General Awareness will be applicable for CBT 2 as well.

What are the Minimum Qualifying Marks in RRB JE CBT 1 and CBT 2?

Candidates appearing in the RRB JE 2024 exam must ensure that they at least secure the minimum percentage of marks in both CBT 1 and CBT 2 to qualify for further stages. The Minimum Qualifying Percentages for UR, OBC, SC, and ST are 40%, 30%, 30%, and 25% respectively.

*: In case of a shortage of PwBD candidates in the merit list, a 2% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks will be allowed while considering their category i.e. UR, OBC, SC, or ST.
