SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023: As per the revised exam pattern, the Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting SSC CGL 2023 Exam in two stages: Tier-1 and Tier-2. SSC CGL 2023 Tier 2 Exam has been scheduled for the 25th, 26th, and 27th of October 2023. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam will be compulsory for all candidates. SSC CGL New Exam Pattern 2023
As per the revised changes, the SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern comprises 2 Tiers which are as follows: The mode of exam for Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be online. The SSC CGL 2023 Tier-1 exam will be conducted online comprising 4 sections with maximum marks of 200. The SSC CGL Tier-2 exam will be conducted in 3 phases- Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Candidates must go through the Tier-wise exam pattern mentioned below.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2023
SSC will hold a computer-based examination with 100 multiple-choice questions. There are 4 sections in the Tier 1 exam of SSC CGL, with 100 questions that account for a total of 200 marks. The subject-wise SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023 details are given below:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2023 (Revised)
- Staff Selection Commission will be conducting the SSC CGL Tier-2 exam in 3 phases- Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.
- Paper I is Compulsory for all posts.
- Paper II will be only for candidates who apply for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) posts in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
- Paper III will be only for those candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
- There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer on Paper-I, I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer on Paper II and Paper III.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2015-16
- SSC CGL 2015-16 Tier 1 and Tier 2: Conduct mode was offline
- Time Duration For Tier-1: 2 hours
- Tier 1 marks: 200 marks
- Tier-II: [Paper I (Quant) & Paper-II (English)], Paper-III (Statistics)
- Tier 2 Marks: 200 marks allotted to English Section for 200 Questions + 200 marks allotted to the Quantitative Aptitude Section for 100 Questions: 400 Marks in Total (300 Questions)
- Tier 2 Marks for JSO Post: 400 Marks + 200 Marks For 100 Questions (Paper III of Statistics): 600 Marks (400 Questions)
- Tier III: Interview for some particular posts for 100 Marks and Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying in nature)

- Negative marking for Tier-I: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2016-17 [Changed Exam Pattern]
- For the first time, SSC CGL Exam was conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) i.e in online mode including both Tier-1 and Tier-2 Exam.
- Negative marking was increased from 0.25 marks for each wrong answer to 0.50 marks in Tier-I Exam.
- Change gets in several questions: Now Tier-1 contains 100 questions.
- The time Duration was reduced from 120 minutes to 75 Minutes.
- Tier-II: [Paper I (Quant)& Paper-II (English)], Paper-III (Statistics), Paper-IV (Economics): Paper IV was introduced for AAO Post)
- Introduction of Descriptive Exam Writing in Tier III 2016-17 in Pen Paper Mode
