What is the selection process for SSC CGL 2019?

The selection process for SSC CGL 2019-20 includes 4 stages:

Tier-III Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi Pen and Paper mode

  • Based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.
  • Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I. In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of JSO/ Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV respectively.

What is the application fee for SSC CGL 2019-20?

Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), ESM eligible for reservation and Persons with disability (PwD) are exempted from payment of the fee.

How many vacancies are there in SSC CGL 2019-20?

Vacancies will be intimated in due course. The result will be processed based on the number of final vacancies received from the User Departments

Will Tier 2 & Tier 3 be conducted on the same date? 

Yes, Tier 2 and Tier 3 examinations will be conducted on the same day and the exam date for the same is 22-06-2020 to 25-06-2020. The evaluation of Tier 3 answer sheets will be done for only those candidates who qualify the combined cut-off for Tier 1 & Tier 2.

How will the final merit prepared for the selection in SSC CGL 2019-20?

Merit list will be prepared based on the overall performance of candidates in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations. Final selection of candidates, in each category, will be made based on aggregate marks scored by them in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III examinations and “preference of posts‟ exercised by them.
