India’s century for the Medals won in Asian Games 2023. India’s Women’s Kabaddi team defeated Chinese Taipei by 26-25 in the final and created history for India by winning the 100th medal in Asian Games 2023, its first time when India won 100 medals on Saturday, 7th October 2023 in the Asian Games. The Asian Games 2023 has been a historic moment for India. This is the 19th Asian Games which is being held in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China. A total of 655 Indian athletes are representing India at the Asian Games 2023, taking place from 23 September 2023 to 08 October 2023.
Many Athletes from all over Asia participate in a variety of sports events like Archery, athletics, aquatics, basketball, baseball, badminton, boxing, cycling, football, gymnastics, karate, kabaddi, judo, rugby, canoeing, softball, table tennis, volleyball, etc. India has won 100 medals which includes 25 golds, 35 silvers and 40 bronze. The Asian Games are the world’s second-largest multi-sport event, after the Olympics and the primary objective of the Asian Games is to maintain friendship among the Asian nations. This is the second time India have won 100 medals in any of the three major Games – The Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. Indian won 101 medals for the first time in the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
