The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for appointing Assistant Commandants (ACs) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). According to the notification, 506 UPSC CAPF AC vacancies will be filled up through this recruitment. The written examination for this post will be held on 4th August 2024. UPSC CAPF 2024 Vacancy

The tentative vacancies announced in the UPSC CAPF Notification 2024 are 506 in total. These vacancies are across five different organizations under the CAPF. These are:

• Border Security Force (BSF)
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

UPSC CAPF 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The UPSC CAPF Notification 2024 has specified four different eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Commandant. The eligibility conditions include nationality, gender, age limit, and minimum educational qualification.

Nationality

Candidates interested in applying for UPSC CAPF 2024 must be citizens of India unless specified otherwise in writing by the Central Government. Subjects of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to apply.

Gender

Both Male and Female candidates shall have equal opportunity for applying to the post of Assistant Commandant.

CAPF AC 2024 Age Limit

The CAPF AC 2024 notification requires candidates to fulfil the age criteria on 01 August 2024. Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years old on this date. The notification further states that the candidate must not have been born earlier than 2 August 1999 nor later than 1 August 2004.

Educational Criteria for CAPF AC

The minimum educational qualification required for CAPF AC is a Graduation Degree in any field. The degree should have been obtained from a UGC-recognized university or institution. Candidates with four-year technical or other degrees like B.Tech, are also eligible to apply for these posts.

UPSC CAPF Application Fee 2024

The UPSC CAPF 2024 Application Fee is Rs. Two Hundred only. Candidates can pay the application fee by remitting the money to any State Bank of India (SBI) Branch or using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI/Internet Banking of any bank. Here are some important points regarding the CAPF AC Application Fee:

• Those who opt to pay in Cash must do so by 11:59 PM on 13th May 2024.
• Categories exempted from paying application fees are Female, SC, and ST candidates.
• The fee once paid will not be refunded.

The UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant post offers a lucrative salary and various opportunities for career growth through promotions. Candidates receive the basic salary i.e. Rs. 56,100 during the training period.
