The Staff Selection Commission has started accepting online applications for the SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Exam 2025. This year, there are a total of 437 vacancies available for different Group B Non-Gazetted posts, like Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator. SSC JHT Apply Online 2025: Important Dates

The SSC JHT 2025 application process will be conducted online through the official website of SSC at www.ssc.gov.in. Candidates must submit their applications within the specified timeframe.

How to Apply for SSC JHT 2025?

Follow the steps below to complete the SSC JHT 2025 online application process:

1. Visit the Official SSC Website – Go to www.ssc.gov.in.
2. Register (One-Time Registration) – If you are a new user, complete the one-time registration by providing your name, mobile number, email ID, and other basic details.
3. Log in to Your Account – Use your registration number and password to log in.
4. Fill the Application Form – Select the SSC JHT 2025 exam and enter personal, academic, and contact details.
5. Upload Documents – Upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and any other required documents in the specified format.
6. Pay the Application Fee – Make the payment online using a debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.
7. Submit and Print – Review your form, submit it, and take a printout for future reference.

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Before applying, candidates must carefully review the eligibility requirements outlined in the official notification. The key eligibility criteria include nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications.

Nationality

The candidate must be either:

• A citizen of India, or

• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or

• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, intending to settle permanently in India.

Age Limit (as on 1st August 2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years
  (Candidates must not be born before 2nd August 1995 and not after 1st August 2006)

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Educational Qualification

The required qualification varies as per the post:

• Junior Hindi Translator / Junior Translator / Junior Translation Officer:
  Master’s degree in Hindi with English or in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

• Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator:
  Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, or either as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject. Also, a recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa is required.
