Railway Recruitment Board has released the official notification regarding the RRB Group D exam dates on 8th December 2021 on the official website. RRB Group D Exam will be tentatively conducted from 23rd February 2022 in multiple phases. RRB Group D admit card will be released four days (18-19 February 2022) before the scheduled date of the candidate’s CBT. In this article, we are providing the RRB Group-D exam pattern and syllabus. The thing to notice in the exam pattern in the previous year is that questions were shuffled not presented section wise. Candidates must be looking for the perfect exam pattern which is being provided below.

Selection Process For RRB Group-D Exam:

There are 3 stages in the RRB Group-D selection process:-

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Document Verification (DV)

Exam Pattern Of RRB Group-D (Computer Based Test)

The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are:

  • UR -40%,
  • OBC-30%,
  • SC-30%,
  • ST -25%.
    Marks will be normalized in the CBT.

  • It will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions.
  • Negative Marking: For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
Note: English is the default language. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected in addition to the below list. In case of any difference between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail.

RRB Group-D General Science:-
Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10 standard level.General awareness on current affairs:-
Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:
Male Candidates
Female Candidates
Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight
for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one
chance without putting the weight down
Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight
for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in
one chance without putting the weight down
Should be able to run for a distance of 1000
metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one
chance
Should be able to run for a distance of 1000
metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one
chance.

Note: The persons with disabilities as specified in Para 11.0 are exempted from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for Persons with Disabilities.

3. RRB Group-D Document Verification and Empanelling of Candidates

Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, candidates will be called for document verification.

Note: Shortlisted candidates should produce NOC from the employer on the date of his/her DV failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
