SSC GD Constable New Exam Pattern 2025

The candidates will be selected based on the written test, Physical test, and medical test for the posts of SSC GD Constable. The merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the SSC GD Constable written exam, and the final merit will be prepared after all the stages. The exam pattern for the SSC GD Constable Examination is given below as per the latest notification released by the SSC.

SSC GD Constable Written Test Exam Pattern

As per the new SSC GD Constable written exam pattern, There will be four sections in the SSC GD Written Test- GK, Reasoning, Mathematics, and English/Hindi. These are some important points.

  • There will be a total number of 80 questions with a total weightage of 160 marks.
  • The total time duration of the written exam will be 60 minutes.
  • Each question will carry 2 marks
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • The questions asked will be of High School (10th) level.

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Exam Pattern

The candidates who clear the cutoff for the computer-based test will proceed to the next stages in the selection process. These stages are designed to test them on the various physical requirements and performance. The commission first conducts the Physical Efficiency Test which examines the candidates’ ability to cover a specific distance in a limited time according to the category and gender they belong to. Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits:-
