Q. What is the last date to apply online for SSC MTS?
The Last date for receipt of application is 29.05.2019 (up to 5.00 PM)
Q. What is the date of the SSC MTS Computer Based Examination (Tier-I)?
The Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) will be held from 02.08.2019 to 06.09.2019 .
Q. What is the SSC MTS Age criteria for various posts?
The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
(i) 18-25 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2001).
(ii) 18-27 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001).
NOTE: There will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise and State/ UT-wise cutoffs in Paper-I.
Q. Is there any age relaxation in SSC MTS for OBC Category?
Yes, the Age-relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit for OBC is 3 years.

Q. Is there any change in the SSC MTS exam pattern?
Yes, earlier the total number of marks for Tier 1 was 150 for 100 questions. Now, the total number of marks is 100 for 100 questions.
Q.Is there normalization of marks in SSC MTS 2019 examination?
Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission.
Q. Can I give preference of states in the SSC MTS application form?
Yes, The candidates are required to give preferences of States/ UTs, in the order of priority, in the online application form.
Q. Can I choose only 3 states as my preference for SSC MTS posts?
Yes, you can choose as many states as you want. Candidates will be considered for selection against the vacancies of only those States/ UTs for which they have given their preference in the online Application Form. If a candidate has opted for all the States/ UTs, he/ she will be considered for the vacancies of all the States/ UTs.
Q. Can I change my preference of states later after the final submission of SSC MTS application?
Preference of States/ UTs exercised by the candidates in the online Application Form will be treated as final and no change in the preference of States/ UTs will be allowed later under any circumstances.
Q. Is paper-II qualifying in nature?
Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.
Q. What is the application fee?
The application Fee is Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
Q. Who are exempted from paying the application fee?
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
SSC MTS Age Criteria
Min. Age- 18 years
Max. Age – 25 or 27 years (according to department)
Age will be calculated as on 1st August 2019.
There will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise and State/ UT-wise cutoffs in Paper-I.
SSC MTS Educational Qualification:
The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
MTS 2019 Pay Scale:
Multi-Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1( 5200- 20200/-) + Grade Pay 1800/- (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level).

SSC MTS Tier-II Exam
SSC MTS Tier-II will be descriptive in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.
SSC MTS Tier-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of recategorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.
