Significance of the Day: 24th March is observed in Argentina as the day devoted to remembering the Dirty War and its victims. In the year 1976, Argentina overthrew its president Isabel Peron and soon in the year 1983, and the democratic process was introduced in the country.
Importance of the Day: It was on 1st August 2002 when Argentina National Congress sanctioned the law 25633 for observing the commemoration of the Dirty War. The public holiday, whereas, has come into being since the year 2006.

World Tuberculosis Day
Significance of the Day: The day is observed as the World Tuberculosis Day to spread awareness against the epidemic Tuberculosis. On 24th March 1882, Dr Robert Koch discovered the causes of Tuberculosis. In 1982, the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease started observing 24th March as the World Tuberculosis Day across the world.
Importance of the Day: It was in the year 2012 when almost 1.3 million people died due to the disease Tuberculosis across the world. Though World Tuberculosis Day has been observed since 1982, after this outbreak, it is observed now even more seriously. It is one of the most important health campaigns conducted by the World Health Organization.
