Educational Qualification

Candidates had to pay the application fees according to the category to complete the application process successfully. WBP Constable Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is going to recruit Constables and Lady Constables in the West Bengal Police through West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment 2024 through five stages viz., Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination and Interview. However, only the scores obtained in the Final Written Examination and Interview will count towards the final merit for selection.
Important points regarding the selection process of West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment 2024 are given below:
- Preliminary Written Test: This is a qualifying Objective test of 85 questions carrying one mark each. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark. Candidates will be given 1 hour to complete this test. The exam can be attempted in either Bengali or Nepali.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Those who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will be tested for physical standards (height, weight, and chest) using Electronic Machines.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This stage will involve running. The criteria will be different for different groups.
- Final Written Examination: Those qualifying in all the previous stages can appear for the Final Written Examination. This is also an objective exam of 85 questions of 85 marks to be attempted in 1 hour. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th marks. The exam can be attempted in either Bengali or Nepali except for the English section.
- Interview: Candidates qualifying for the Interview will be tested for their skills in communicating in Bengali/Nepali. It will carry 15 marks.
- The candidates provisionally qualifying in both the Final Written Exam and Interview will be subjected to Character Verification and Medical Examination before being finally appointed as Constables or Lady Constables.

The initial stage of the recruitment process is the Preliminary Written Test. This is a qualifying Objective test of 85 questions carrying one mark each. Candidates must go through the exam pattern mentioned below.
