a. 15

b. 20

c. 18

d. 30

**Answer Key and Solution:**

**1. (C)**

Let the numbers be x and y .We know xy = 1575And x/y = 9/7

We know xy/x/y = 1575/9/7

We know y^2 = 1225

We know y = 35 and x = 45

We know The sum of the numbers = 45+35= 80

**2.(C)**

**3.(B)**

**4.(D)**

Let the consecutive odd numbers be x and (x+2)We know that x^2 + (x + 2)^2 = 394

We know x^2 + x^2 + 4x + 4 = 394

We know 2 x^2 +4x – 390 = 0

We know x^2 + 2x – 195 = 0

We know (x +15) (x-13) = 0

We know x = 13 We know Required sum = 13 +15 =28

**5.(D)**

(67^67+ 67) = 67(67^66 + 1) As 66 is an even number

We know 67^66 is an even number

We know (67^66 + 1) is perfectly divisible by (67 + 1) i.e. 68

We know The remainder = 67

**6.(C)**

As 738A6 A is divisible by 11. We know A + A + 3 = 6 + 8 + 7 We know A = 9

**7.(C)**

**8.(C)**

We know that 3011 * 3012 = 3011 (3011 + 1) = (3011)^2 + 3011

We know Required least number = 3011

**9.(D)**

Work done by Q = 19/23 + 8/23 – 1 4/23

We know Wage of Q = 4/23 * 5750 = Rs. 1000

**10.(B)**

Work done by A = 6/24 = ¼ , Work done by B = (x-6)/32

where x is no. of days in which work is competed) We know that ¼ + x – 6/32 + x/64 = 1

We know 16 + 24 – 12 + x /64 = 1 We know 3x + 4 = 64 We know x = 60/3 = 20 days

Bank Jobs vs. SSC Jobs:

Should i choose bank jobs over ssc jobs This is one of the biggest question that we encounter whenever any notification of SSC is published.

Infact, there is nothing called SSC jobs since SSC is just an organization like IBPS that fills vacancies in govt. departments through respective selection process.

Incase if you wish to compare, it should be taken as bank jobs vs. govt. jobs filled through SSC.To answer such a doubt, here is our comparison so everyone can understand & benefit.

Although banks are owned by Govt. of India, its employees don’t come under the govt. directly like the ones directly employed by Govt.

Salary hikes/ wage revisions announced by the government are meant for those directly employed by them & NOT for those in public banks.

Banks decide on salary issue through unions with the govt. (This is the reason for numerous strikes that are held regularly)

Employees in a bank have to deal with customers daily while its not a necessity in other govt. jobs (except few depts. Finally, bank jobs cannot be compared with those filled through SSC as their profiles, & responsibilities are completely different.

Nice information

Let whole work completed in X days

6/24 + x-6/32 + x/64= 1

Lcm 192

X= 20

u r right

40 kmph ?

plz describe

total distance covered= 1000 km

==> distance on onward journey = distance on return journey= 500 km

now let speed in onward journey= x kmph

so speed in return jouney = 4x/5

as per question

500/x + 1/2 + 500/(4x/5) = 23

solving for x ,, x= 50

now speed in return journey= 4x/5 = 40 kmph

Thanks Bro

9 th solution plzz

P +q + r =23

P+ q = 19

q + r =8

So q = 4 then Q's share (5750*4)/23 = 1000

Divisibility rule

A number is divisible by 11 if subtraction of sum of odd digits and sum of even digits is a multiple of 11. So result of subtraction may be 0, 11,22,33,…

can any one reply 7th ka solution

no need to take x and y etc. here

just choose an option i tell you

6/24+(20-6)+20/64=1

if it becomes one then it is correct answer

no. 5 ???? how???

Explain plz

Answer and explaination both are wrong for question no 5 answer will be 66 according to binomial theorem

Use sine rule on triangle BAD and Triangle CAD

P+q+r=23

P+q=19

Q+r=8

Then we get q=4

So Q's share=5750*4/23=1000

Aap cgl 2014 ka exam diye the

Thnx bro
