UPSC Recruitment 2020: Exam Dates

Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 and the civil services preliminary examination 2020 on October 4, 2020.

The requests for change of exam center are to be considered on the first-apply-first-allot basis. It is recommended that candidates who genuinely wish for a change of their exam center must not waste any time and submit their requests as soon as the event commences on the aforementioned dates. Every center has a limited capacity and the seats are allocated on the first-apply-first-allot basis. As soon as the allocations reach the capacity, the center is frozen. In such cases, candidates have to choose from the remaining available slots in other centers.

The civil services examination is conducted annually in three stages that include preliminary, main and interview rounds. UPSC conducts the exam to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
