UPSC IES ISS 2020: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the notification for Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination on 10th June 2020. Now, it has released the recruitment notification for Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 under the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs). Candidates can apply online for the recruitment by visiting the official site at upsc.gov.in till 1st September 2020. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria must read the instructions carefully before applying online. The last date to apply online is 1st September 2020 for a total of 15 vacancies. UPSC IES/ISS 2020 Eligibility criteria
Educational Qualifications
- For Indian Economic Service (ISS): A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics from a University.
- For Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Applied Statistics/Mathematical Statistics as one of the subject or candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized university.
Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August 2020 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1990 and not later than 1st August 1999.
UPSC IES/ISS 2020 Selection Process
The selection process of UPSC IES/ISS examination consists of the following stages:
- Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks.
- Viva-voce carrying a maximum of 200 marks.

UPSC IES/ISS Recruitment 2020: Application Fee
- Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
- Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from payment of a fee.
