Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the release of UPSC CAPF notification 2020 because of the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. Commission issued a one-line notice on its official website stating that it will issue the CAPF 2020 notification later. The notice mentioned that ‘CAPF(ACs) Exam-2020, scheduled to be notified on 22-04-2020, stand deferred till further notice‘. UPSC every year conducts exam for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF): Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). UPSC was scheduled to conduct the written exam is scheduled to be held on 9th August 2020. UPSC has not released a statement whether the exams will be postponed or not. Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the recruitment, the candidate must hold a Bachelors degree from any recognised university” The candidates who appear in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the exam but they have to produce the final year mark sheet of the qualifying exam with the detailed application form.
Age limit
The lower age limit for the CAPF exam is 20 years and the upper age limit is less than 25 years. The age is calculated from August 1 of the exam year. For appearing in the UPSC CAPF exam 2020, the candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1995 and not later than August 1, 2000.
Selection Process
The UPSC CAPF exam consists of three stages. The selection process is given below:
Stage I
Stage I of the recruitment process involves the written examination. It consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The paper I will be the objective type question paper and paper II will be the conventional essay type question paper having two parts.

Stage II
Stage II of the recruitment exam includes Physical Efficiency and Medical Standard tes It is of qualifying nature. Appearing candidates need to meet the standard prescribed in the CAPF notification. After passing the Stage I, the candidates must undergo the Physical Efficiency and Medical Standard Test.
