UPPSC Recruitment 2020: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the official notification to recruit the 200 vacancies through Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination-2020. UPPSC PCS prelims exam will be conducted on 11th October 2020. UPPCS is the exam conducting body of UP Government which conducts different examinations in the state. UPPSC PCS Exam: Educational Qualifications

The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification. The post wise educational qualification is given below:

7 Assistant Labour Commissioner Degree in Arts with Sociology or Economics as a subject or Commerce/Law.
8 District Programme Officer Degree in Sociology or Social Science or Home Science or Social Work.
9 Senior Lecturer, DIET Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed.
10 District Probation Officer Post Graduate Degree in Psychology or Sociology or Social Work or any qualification equivalent thereto or Post Graduate Diploma in any Branch of Social Work from any recognised Institute of Social Work.
11. Designated Officer / Food Safety Officer (1) Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry as one of the subjects from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto, or
(2) Atleast one of qualification prescribed for Direct Recruitment to the post of Food Safety Officer given as below:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognised University, or any other equivalent/recognised qualification notified by the Central Government, Provided that no person who has any financial Interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety Officer.
12. Statistical officer Post Graduate Degree in mathematics or Mathematical Statistics or Statistics or Agricultural Statistics from an university recognized by Law in India or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

UPPCS PCS Exam: Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by mains exam & Interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.

UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern

The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2020 will be conducted in offline mode. There will be 2 papers conducted in different shift. The total marks allotted to each paper is 200 and the time allotted for each Paper is 2 hours. The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:

  • Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
  • It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of Preliminary Examination.
  • The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination.

Mains Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS mains written examination will consist of six compulsory and two optional Papers. The time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. The Exam Pattern for mains examination is provided below:

Q. Is there negative marking in the UPPSC Recruitment exam?

Yes. For every wrong answer, there is 1/3 negative marking in the Prelims Exam. Candidates must take extra care while answering.

Q. I was born in the state of Uttar Pradesh and later on moved to other state. Will I be eligible for Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services?

You can sit for the exam if you can produce the domicile of Uttar Pradesh state.
