Union Budget & Economy Survey 2020: Highlights & Detailed Explanation- Union Budget 2020-21 was announced by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam on 1st February 2020 in the Parliament focusing on the reforms that will help to shape the country’s future. The economic Survey 2019-20 was released on 31st January mentioning how the Indian economy grew over the past year. The Union Budget 2020-21 was based on three prominent themes underlining the Ease of Living:

Aspirational India – better standards of living with access to health, education and better
jobs for all sections of the society
Economic Development for all – “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”.
Caring Society – both humane and compassionate; Antyodaya as an article of faith.

This year’s budget was aimed at boosting the income of the people and strengthening all the sectors leading towards the growth. In the budget, the nominal GDP growth has been estimated at 10% for the Year 2020-21. The current tax slabs rates were revised and it was also proposed to set up various universities, museums etc across the various states.
