Topic Wise SSC CHSL Syllabus 2017-18

Dear Students, the most awaited SSC CHSL Exam 2017-18 Notification has been published and brought  out  the opportunity for the aspirants to serve in the government job.The Application Filling  Date for SSC CHSL Exam is from 18th November 2017 to 18th December 2017. You can apply for the exam if you still have not filled the application form. 

The CHSL 2017 Exam (Tier-I) will be conducted from 04.03.2018 to 26.03.2018 in  Computer Based Examination System. The tentative Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 08.07.2018.  So, Students, you have abundant time to prepare for the CHSL 2017 exam. Today in this post we will review the exam pattern and comprehensive syllabus of SSC CHSL 2017 Exam. Vacancies: 3259. Tentative vacancies for the posts of LDC/ JSA, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and DEO are 898, 2359, 2 and Data Entry Operator Grade”A”- Nil, respectively. The Age Limit will be considered as on 1st August 2018 (18-27 years). These are tentative vacancies, SSC will notify in future as well. So, do not worry about it.   • There is negative marking in SSC CHSL 2017 Tier 1 Exam. Giving a wrong answer to a question will lead to a penalty of 0.5 marks in all sections 
  • The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped. 
SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

  • The exam is of 60 minutes duration and carries 100 marks. 
  • The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy. 
  • The Paper 2 would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words 
  • The Paper 2 would comprise writing of Letter /Application writing of approximately 150-200 words. 
  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent. 
  • The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing the final merit. 
  • The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. 
  • Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.


SSC CHSL Tier-III Examination

Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.
