1.Tame (adjective)
Meaning: (of an animal) not dangerous or frightened of people; domesticated.
synonyms: domesticated, domestic, not wild, docile, tamed, disciplined, broken, broken-in, trained, not fierce, gentle, mild, used to humans.
Example: Presidential contests in India are usually tame and predictable, and 2017 does not promise to be any different. 

2.Exception (noun)
Meaning: a person or thing that is excluded from a general statement or does not follow a rule.
synonyms: anomaly, irregularity, deviation, special case, departure, inconsistency, quirk, peculiarity, abnormality, oddity
Example: To date, the election of V.V. Giri over Neelam Sanjiva Reddy in 1969 remains the only notable exception to the long list of humdrum presidential elections: Prime Minister Indira Gandhi called for a “conscience vote” just before the election, and a sizeable number of Congress parliamentarians and legislators voted against the “official” candidate, Reddy, in favour of Giri.
3.Eminent (adjective)
Meaning: (of a person) famous and respected within a particular sphere.
synonyms: illustrious, distinguished, renowned, esteemed, pre-eminent, notable, noteworthy, great, prestigious, important, significant, influential, outstanding, noted,
Example: The party might have in mind some eminent people not directly involved in politics in order to appeal to a broader political spectrum.
4.Sovereignty (noun)
Meaning: supreme power or authority.
synonyms: jurisdiction, supremacy, dominion, power, ascendancy, suzerainty, tyranny, hegemony, domination, sway, predominance, authority, control, influence, rule; 
Example: In a strongly worded statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said not only does India have “sovereignty” issues over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) part of the B&R, it has environmental worries and concerns over the “unsustainable debt burden” for smaller countries, as well as over the lack of transparency from China.
5.Insulate (verb)
Meaning: protect (something) by interposing material that prevents the loss of heat or the intrusion of sound.
synonyms: wrap, cover, encase, enclose, envelop, swathe, sheathe, bundle up; 
Example: Though it is involved in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, Iran has so far largely remained insulated from the regional crises. 
6.Hoax (noun)
Meaning: a humorous or malicious deception.
synonyms: practical joke, joke, jest, prank, trick, jape.
Example: Candidate Trump had called climate change a “hoax”. President Trump followed this up with anti-climate policies since assuming office. So the June 2 announcement was just a formality. But with this formality, he has made the Paris Agreement meaningless.
7.Accommodation (noun)
Meaning: a room, group of rooms, or building in which someone may live or stay., a convenient arrangement; a settlement or compromise.
synonyms: housing, lodging(s), living quarters, quarters, rooms, chambers, arrangement, understanding, settlement, accord, deal, bargain, compromise.
Example: “We want to attract a younger, more international crowd,” says Maija Daly, who helps tourism-related businesses set up in the park. “The park has been popular with old-school hikers and fishermen for years, but now we are offering upgraded accommodation and extended activities.”
8.Adjudicate (verb)
Meaning: make a formal judgement on a disputed matter., act as a judge in a competition.
synonyms: judge, adjudge, try, hear, examine, arbitrate, decide on, decide, settle, resolve, determine, pronounce on, give a ruling on, sit in judgement on, pass judgement on, give a verdict on, make a ruling on.
Example: One would expect the judges of the Supreme Court to adjudicate the constitutional validity of triple talaq (and, if they choose, of the other practices under question as well) detached from the political debate, and strictly in accordance with law. 
9.Instantaneous (adjective)
Meaning: occurring or done instantly.
synonyms: immediate, instant, on-the-spot, prompt, direct, swift, speedy, rapid, quick, expeditious, express, lightning.
Example: They draw a distinction between instantaneous talaq, or talaq-i-bidat (where divorce is complete when “talaq” is uttered three times in succession) with talaq ahasan, which requires a 90-day period of abstinence after the pronouncement, and talaq hasan, which requires a one-month-long abstinence gap between utterances. The latter two are part of Islamic personal law, but the first one is not.
10.Tangled (adjective)
Meaning: twisted together untidily; matted.
Example: On this view, the Supreme Court need not go into tangled and messy questions involving personal law and the Constitution; it can decide the question on its own terms.
