1.Parastatal (adjective)

Meaning: (of an organization or industry, especially in some African countries) having some political authority and serving the state indirectly.
Example: Besides the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, which is the urban local body providing basic amenities and discharging functions such as solid waste management and sanitation, there is the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority which creates regional plans and plans for special planning areas such as the BKC and implements various infrastructure projects; the Mumbai State Road Development Corporation that undertakes road projects; the Ministry of Railways whose parastatal organisations look after the suburban railway network; and the Mumbai Port Trust, currently planning the commercial development of a part of its land, among others.
2.Obfuscation (noun)
Meaning: the action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible.
Example: There is no joint formulation of transport plans in tandem with land use plans by these bodies. Ultimately, the obfuscation due to overlapping functions and jurisdictions undermines accountability.
3.Entrust (verb)
Meaning: assign the responsibility for doing something to (someone).
Synonyms: give responsibility for, charge, invest, endow.
Example: Studies on metropolitan governance in India have recommended creating metropolitan councils entrusted with specific powers that are appointed democratically. 
4.Delineate (verb)
Meaning: describe or portray (something) precisely.
Synonyms: describe, set forth, set out, present, outline, depict, portray, represent, characterize.
Example: Besides transit, other functions such as solid waste disposal and water supply, that require provisioning at a regional level, could be delineated to be undertaken by this agency. It needs to have representatives from other public organisations and domain experts from outside the public sphere.
5.Secede (verb)
Meaning: withdraw formally from membership of a federal union, an alliance, or a political or religious organization.
Synonyms: withdraw from, break away from, break with, separate (oneself) from, sever relations with, leave, quit, split with, split off from, disaffiliate from, defect from, resign from, pull out of, drop out of, have nothing more to do with, turn one’s back on, repudiate, reject.

6.Culmination (noun)
Meaning: the highest or climactic point of something, especially as attained after a long time.
Synonyms: climax, pinnacle, peak, high point, highest point, height, high water mark, top, summit, crest, zenith, crowning moment, apotheosis.
Example: Catalonia’s defiant vote to secede from Spain is the culmination of Madrid’s costly miscalculations, with potentially serious ramifications for all of Europe. The referendum, marred by violence that left hundreds injured, has further eroded Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s authority to negotiate a settlement out of this impasse. 
7.Ramification (noun)
Meaning: a complex or unwelcome consequence of an action or event.
Synonyms: consequence, result, aftermath, outcome, effect, upshot, issue, sequel.
Example: Catalonia’s defiant vote to secede from Spain is the culmination of Madrid’s costly miscalculations, with potentially serious ramifications for all of Europe. The referendum, marred by violence that left hundreds injured, has further eroded Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s authority to negotiate a settlement out of this impasse. 
8.Impasse (noun)
Meaning: a situation in which no progress is possible, especially because of disagreement; a deadlock.
Synonyms: deadlock, dead end, stalemate, checkmate, stand-off.
Example: Catalonia’s defiant vote to secede from Spain is the culmination of Madrid’s costly miscalculations, with potentially serious ramifications for all of Europe. The referendum, marred by violence that left hundreds injured, has further eroded Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s authority to negotiate a settlement out of this impasse. 
9.Mar (verb)
Meaning: impair the quality or appearance of; spoil.
Synonyms: spoil, ruin, impair.
Example: Catalonia’s defiant vote to secede from Spain is the culmination of Madrid’s costly miscalculations, with potentially serious ramifications for all of Europe. The referendum, marred by violence that left hundreds injured, has further eroded Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s authority to negotiate a settlement out of this impasse. 
10.Galore (adjective)
Meaning: in abundance.
Synonyms: aplenty, in abundance, in profusion, in great quantity, in large numbers, by the dozen.
Example: In a series which has had positives galore for the winning side, when its captain refers to a player as the ‘biggest asset’, he ought to have had a huge impact. Such was the contribution of Hardik Pandya with the bat and the ball that Virat Kohli heaping praise on him on Sunday night didn’t sound exaggerated at all.
