SSC JE Tier 1 2017: 40 Days Study Plan

In Reasoning, out of 50 questions, the topics holding a lion’s share will be:

Number & Alphabetical Series : almost 10-12 questions, Analogy and Odd one out: almost 9-10 questions from each topic, 4-5 Questions from Non-verbal part which adjoins Complete the Image, Embedded Image, Paper Folding & Cutting, Mirror Image and almost 1-2 questions from rest of the topics.

However, GA section is vast enough to hinder you from attempting all the questions with 100% accuracy but revising important one liners, reading current affairs on daily basis and learning important history, general science and geography notes by heart can help in vanishing your phobia. You will find yourself aware of more than half of the questions in the exam. In GA section, if you find it an uphill task to remember the important facts, dates, scenarios etc you can take help of the videos where they make it all interesting by providing learning tricks in their own way.
In GA, scoring sections are as   follows:

General Science: almost 19-20 questions, History and Geography : almost 14-15 questions, Economics: almost 5-6 questions and Current Affairs and Politics: almost 3-4 questions and 1-2 questions from rest of the topics like Computer, Static Gk and Recent affairs.
Develop a habit of reading notes on daily basis. Attempt quizzes and revise all you studied during the whole day before going to bed. Gradually, it will get imprint in your memory and you won’t have to exhaust yourself when the exam day will be a couple of days later.

GENERAL ENGINEERING (Civil And Structural), (Electrical & Mechanical): This section can be the most challenging as long as you don’t follow a hard and fast strategy to sum up all the important topics with continuous revision and improve your pace of calculation and dealing with logical questions using adequate skills. 

Civil Engineering Syllabus includes Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering etc
Electrical Engineering– Basic concepts, Circuit law, Magnetic Circuit, AC Fundamentals, Measurement and Measuring instruments, Electrical Machines, Fractional Kilowatt Motors and single phase induction Motors, Basic Electronics etc.
Mechanical Engineering– Theory of Machines and Machine Design, Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Properties of Pure Substances, 1st Law of Thermodynamics, 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, Air standard Cycles for IC Engines, IC Engine Performance, IC Engines Combustion Air Compressors & their cycles, Refrigeration cycles etc.
