Sub: Condemning widespread corruption and declining moral values amongst public men.
Sir,
Kindly publish the following few lines in the columns of your esteemed daily. I will be much obliged.
India is passing through a bad phase. A country of saints and sages is today becoming known for its corrupt leaders. A large number of public men are involved in scams and kick-backs. Corruption appears to have become the order of the day. There is hardly any political leader who can be cited as an ideal for the younger generation. Moral values are now taken as an ignoble trait. Public men in high places pay scant regard to decency, decorum or discipline in public life. The politics of defections and crime is deteriorating.
These days, people have been oblivion regarding a respectful image of the country. To attain the so called power and fame, they do not even hesitate to lose their ethics. This needs to be extirpated before it’s too late and our country be notorious for such deplorable acts. Our country and its leaders have always known for their spirit of honesty, truth, non-violence, charity and sacrifice. We must learn to uphold those values in social life and should participate in every act contributing to the country in being corruption-free.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
