SSC CGL 2016 Preliminary Exam Strategy-English Section

Hello, Students, as we all know SSC CGL 2016 is going to be conducted in online mode. The pattern and Scheme of Exam have been changed dramatically for better in the interest of SSC Aspirants.

According to the latest change in pattern No. of Question in English Section of the Preliminary exam will be 25 and Will carry 2 marks Each.
Now, Accuracy and Speed both are going to play an important role in qualifying the preliminary exam.

Now It’s high time You buckle up your seat belt and Go for the exam with enthusiasm and Confidence. And this Confidence, you can have by Studying Harder and harder.
Even for beginners, it could be a cakewalk if they know their expected syllabus, types of questions, And study smartly.

We’ve almost two months to prepare for SSC CGL 2016 Preliminary Exam.
Here, in no particular order of preference, are Some points to focus on and study Accordingly-

1. For Error Detection questions, Study All grammatical terms first. Let’s say, Give Initial 10 days to study and understand all grammatical terms of English Grammar and then Memorize and practice All related rules to those grammatical terms.  In this regard, to help you we’ll provide all grammatical Rules and tricky Scenarios in English Grammar that are asked in SSC exams.

2. For Fill-in-the-blanks type questions, learn and understand All important prepositions and Phrasal verbs. Actually, there are possible two type of questions that are asked in Fill in the blanks type question: 1- Preposition/Phrasal verb based questions 2- Vocab based questions. For vocab based questions, read the given sentence completely and try to understand the context and try to put a word from your side and then read options, now you can predict the required word.

3.For Sentence Improvements Type Questions, read the sentence completely, then read options.Mostly, Questions are asked from the wrong usage of tenses and Conditional sentences and Some special sentence structures in the English language.

4.For Reading Comprehension/ Passage Questions, first read all the questions based on the given paragraph. While reading Questions, try to retain the information that is asked in questions and then read the given paragraph. when you’ll read paragraph in the second step, You’ll get your answers and you can click your correct answers.  By following question first Approach, you can save a lot of precious time and the best part, you don’t have to read passage multiple times.

5.For Vocab based Questions, that is, Antonyms/Synonyms and Spelling Mistakes. In this section, your exhausting reading habit helps you a lot. Your personal vocabulary acquired over a long period of time reading, can help you get correct answers.
Here is the list of possible types of questions, that might be asked in SSC CGL 2016 Preliminary exam.

This Information is based on the analysis of last year English Section,   50 questions based pattern in TIER 1 examination and we will provide Mock Test series strictly based on the new(that is 25 Questions) pattern along with some more expected patterns.
