RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2019
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is all set to receive applications for the recruitment of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for 35,208 vacancies. The official recruitment notification for RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment was released on 28th February 2019. The online application process was conducted from 1st March 2019 till 31st March 2019 on the official website. RRB NTPC Admit Card will be released 10-15 days before the exam date. RRB NTPC 2019 exam came as a once in a blue moon opportunity with 35,208 vacancies for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). As per the various sources, the RRB NTPC exam can be conducted in November-December. RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern For Stage 1 and 2
The recruitment process will involve the following stages of examination:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable)
- Document Verification/Medical Examination.

- English is the default language.
- In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop-down list of languages. The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
- In case of any difference/ discrepancy/dispute in the Questions between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail.

- The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
- Negative marking of 1/3 is there.
- Stage 1 is screening nature.
- The candidates selected for stage 2 will be 20 times the number of vacancies for each post.
- Normalization of marks will be done

- Separate 2nd Stage CBT shall be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with the graded difficulty level.
- All posts falling within the same level of 7th CPC shall have a common 2nd stage CBT (as mentioned in the above table).
- The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
- Negative marking of 1/3 is there.
- The level of questions will be different for different levels of posts.
- Normalization of marks will be done
RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
(Only for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master)
- Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
- This applies to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
- Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of SM/TA.
- The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi.
- There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
- Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.
Typing Skill Test (TST)
- Qualifying in nature
- Eight times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
- The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
Document Verification (DV)
Based on the performance of candidates in 2nd Stage CBT and based on the performance of candidates in both 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT/TST (as applicable), candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.
