Paper I: General Awareness

General Awareness questions were asked from Current Affairs(11 questions). Also History, Geography, Civics, Static GK,  Regional Gk on Odisha history, Geography,  General Science were predominant topics asked in OPSC ASO Exam.

Prioritize General Science and History along with Current Affairs to score well in GA Section.

Paper III: (a) English

English language section can be concluded to Moderate to Difficult level. There were 3 RC(Reading Comprehensions) and 2 cloze tests from the English Language Section in the exam.

Note: Previously, 2 modes of exam viz. Subjective (Essay) and Objective (MCQs) were allocated to English Language and Odia Language Section. But for the maiden time, Only Objective criteria of questions will be a part of both the sections comprising 100 questions in each section. Subjective mode is no more a part of English Language and Odia Language Section this year for OPSC ASO Exam 2018.

IV Skill Test in Computer Application(Practical)


Note: One other major change to observe is in Computer Section where Skill Test has replaced the objective criteria of questions. Now in place of 100 MCQs, skill test with 5 questions for 100 marks will be asked to be answered from the candidate.
