IRMS Railway Recruitment 2022
The Ministry of Railway has released an official notification in the Gazette of India stating “In pursuance of Cabinet’s decision dated 24.12.2019, there shall be the creation of a new Group ‘A’ Central service called Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS)” on 9th February 2022. IRMS will soon release the detailed recruitment notification for the concerned recruitment process. IRMS Railway Recruitment 2022: Vacancy
The cabinet committee on economic affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the merger of eight existing Group A services into a central service, this is the statement issued by the IRMS. In December 2019 railway has aimed to end the Departmentalism in Railways. The following units are unified in two departments i.e.Railway Protection Force and Medical Service Department. - Cabinet announced the merger of 8 departments on 24th December 2019.
- On 5th August 2020 Minister of Railways along with the Chairman, Members, and DGs of Railway Board interacted with representatives of various services.
- Recruitment of IRMS should be through CSE.
- On 12th August 2020, 5 General Secretaries of the Indian Railways Service of Engineers Association signed a letter and were sent to the Minister of Railways and Railway Board stating that recruitments of IRMS should be done through ESE.
- On 17th August 2020, UPSC notified the date of the ESE 2021 (Prelims) exam on 18th July 2021 and Mains Examination on 10th October 2021, but there is no clarity on IRMS recruitment.
