National Girl Child Day Objectives

Be it ancient practices of Sati Pratha, gender inequality, child marriage, dowry, pay parity, sexual abuse, rape, acid attack victimization, female foeticide, discrimination at home, child delivery issues, mental traumas, illiteracy, this society tends to predominate women while giving them hell. Crimes against women in today’s so-called modern society are on upsurge with no holds barred which is why the objective behind the initiative of National Girl Child Day is to spread awareness on the importance of girls’ education, health status, nutrition and fair treatment among the mass and central government schemes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, CBSE Udaan scheme to prevent gender-biased abortions, advance the education of girl child, stabilize the financial position of girls, and to enrich the learning experience of girl students from economically backward sections and other state govt. schemes prove to be a knight in shining armour and things are looking up. Such campaigns help change the mindset of people and thereby of society.

National Girl Child Day Significance

Girl child’s welfare and hence the National Girl Child Day is of much significance for society is crippled without women’s participation. Ladies the world is your Oyster, have the stomach for the pitfalls this society drags you in. Promote the awareness about your rights among other women, have a beady eye on the morals of male members of your family.

To make 2020 a banner year for girls and women, we must all pitch in and do our part. We as a society need to fight against anything that gives a tag of ‘broken reed’ to the girls around, that degrades their essence and that makes us predict wrongs with them. The debates on Women safety have mushroomed into a major matter. It’s high time to put out all the stops to strengthen a girl child’s status in every sphere of life. Put in efforts to give girls a secure environment, equal opportunities, no discrimination, higher education for a whole India, a strong India.
