Lockdown 5.0: Government of India has extended the nationwide lockdown further. India was going through Lockdown 4.0 with some relaxations in the movement of people. Now the Lockdown 5.0 will start from 1st June 2020 till 30th June 2020 for containment zones and the prohibited activities will re-open in a phased manner in areas outside Containment Zones. As per the latest notice, services will open in areas outside the containment zones. Religious places, Hotels, restaurants, other hospitality services will be opened from 8th June with proper guidelines to be issued by the government. Some cities are expected to have higher lockdown restrictions due to the containment zones.
As per the reports, out of the total of more than 1.70 lakh COVID-19 cases in the country, Maharashtra, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune account for 60 per cent of the cases. The number is huge and strict measures must to taken to control the situation. Moreover, the economy of the country is taking a hit with businesses are going through losses, leading to layoffs of employees.

As per the ministry of affairs, some activities will be permitted in areas outside containment zones but in a phased manner. Moreover, the activities in containment zones will be prohibited and only essential services will continue.
