As Coronavirus cases continue to increase at a rapid rate, several states and union territories of India announced a complete lockdown till the end of the month. From Maharashtra to West Bengal, different states announced a slew of measures after a surge in Coronavirus cases across the nation. On the other hand, the central government has requested state governments to strictly enforce the lockdown and take legal action against those who violated the restrictions.

Many states have also decided to discontinue the interstate bus and train services in an attempt to tackle the coronavirus. During the lockdown, only essential services will be allowed to operate in all the districts which have reported cases or casualties due to Coronavirus.
