SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is just around the corner and will be starting from 3rd March 2020 to 9th March, 2020. At this crucial moment, when you are just a few days away from a very competitive exam and almost done with all the topics, solved hundreds of previous year question papers, mugged up all the concepts but still worried about your performance. To help the candidates who are appearing for the exam we are providing few last minute tips that will help aspirants in boosting their Tier 1 score.
- Know the complete exam pattern and syllabus: Make sure you are thorough with the exam pattern and syllabus of the SSC CGL Tier 1exam. The SSC CGL Tier-1 consists of 4 sections of 50 marks each for a total of 200 marks. Candidates must make sure they are well equipped with the latest exam pattern and the major topics asked in the exam.
- Take Mocks: Give some mocks and sectional tests but spend more time analyzing your performance in them. This will help you in finetuning your strategy and perform better in the exam. The remaining time must be utilized in attempting as many mock tests as you can. Attempt at least 2 mocks every day for regular practice.
- Analyze performance after every mock: It is really important to analyze your performance after attempting mock tests and make sure that you improvise with each test. Analyze your mistakes and make a list of the topics that are difficult to solve or that you are having difficulty with.
- Brush Up High-Frequency Topics: Use these last few remaining days to brush up some often repeated topics and high frequency topics like idioms, phrases, etc. This will help you in saving valuable few seconds during the exam.
Manage Your Time: There are no sectional time limits and no sectional cut offs. So your job is to simply maximize your score however you can. Time to attempt the sections that you are strong in as quickly as you can so that you have more time for your weaker sections.
Practice During The Exam Time Slot: Every candidate’s mind is active at different times during the day. To make sure that your mind is active during exam time, attempt mock tests during your exam time slot so that your mind is trained to be alert during your exam.
Always Read Complete Question: Don’t read the incomplete questions. This will lead you to mark the wrong answer. Make a habit of reading the question carefully and then solve it accordingly.
Stay Fresh and Well Rested: An active & fresh mind will ensure you are in the best frame of mind to solve quicker & better. Don’t study too much on days leading up to your exam. Get ample amount of sleep the night before the exam. Aspirants often tend to under-estimate the advantage that a fresh mind can provide.
