Fake Advertisement of 5285 Vacancies in Indian Railways

Ministry of Railways has issued a warning to the aspiring candidates looking for a job in railways and clarified regarding the fake advertisement of 5285 Vacancies in Indian Railways. It has come to its notice that a private agency by the name of “Avestran Infotech” gave an advertisement regarding the recruitment of 5285 vacancies in a prominent newspaper on 8th  August 2020. They invited the applications in eight categories of railways on outsourcing basis on 11 years contract. The applicants were asked to deposit a fee of Rs.750/- and apply by 10th  Sept.2020. Candidates are informed that NO SUCH NOTICE has been published by the Indian Railways and aspirants must not fall for any such kind of fake notices.

Also, any advertisement notice by the railways is always published on the official website of Indian railways only. No private agency is authorised to conduct the recruitment procedure for Indian railways. The board will take strict action against the private agency and persons associated with the circulation of fake notice.

In this connection, it has been also clarified that the recruitment of various categories of Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ posts on Indian Railways is presently done by 21 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and 16 Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) only. Vacancies on Indian Railways are filled up through Centralized Employment Notifications (CENs). The online applications for employment notifications are invited from all across the country. Candidates must only visit the regional website to apply online and get official details about the recruitment.
