On behalf of all Indian District Courts, the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, manages and funds the Pan-Indian E-Courts Mission Mode Project.
E-Court Mission Mode entail: Key Points

4 new E-court project-related initiatives
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 26, 2022, during Constitution Day at the Supreme Court of India,launched a variety of projects associated with the e-court project. Among other projects, the prime minister unveiled the “Virtual Justice Clock,” “JustIS mobile App 2.0,” “Digital court,” and “S3WaaS Websites.” These initiatives will be briefly explained in this post.
1. Virtual Justice Clock:
On a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, a project called Virtual Justice Clock intends to present significant data regarding the administration of justice at the court level, including details about cases that have been filed, those that have been settled, and those that are still pending. An effort is being made to make the operation of the courts open and accountable by disclosing to the public the status of case dispositions by the court. Anyone can use the Virtual Justice Clock for any court location on the District Court website.
2. JustIS Mobile App 2.0:
By monitoring the cases that are currently being heard in their court as well as the judges who serve under them, judges can administer their courts and cases more efficiently with the help of the JustIS Mobile App 2.0. This software is also made available to judges of the High Court and Supreme Court, who may now use it to keep track of the status of each State and District that comes under their jurisdiction.
3. Digital Court:
By giving judges access to court data in digital form, the digital court effort intends to make it possible for courts to become paperless.
4. S3WaaS Websites:
Create, set up, deploy, and administer websites for disseminating particular data and services related to district judiciary using the S3WaaS Website framework. Government entities can construct websites that are Secure, Scalable, and Sugamya using a cloud service called S3WaaS. (accessible). It is multilingual, Divyang-friendly, and citizen-friendly.
As a court support system, the e-Court project aims to deliver citizen-centric services, execute judgments, promote transparency, and boost judicial productivity.
