Staff Selection Commission has released the scores for the candidates who appeared for the SSC CGL TIER III 2019 on the official website of SSC. The commission has released the mark for qualified and non-qualified candidates for Combined Graduate Level Examination,2019. The SSC conducted the TIER III, Descriptive Paper of CGL exam 2019, on 22nd November 2020.
As the scores released by SSC are showing some disturbing numbers. According to many candidates, the score after normalization is showing a huge gap. SSC is showing the Raw score as well as the normalized score. The candidates are in tremendous stress as their score are shown in “Negative Numbers”. Many of the candidates have scored well in the raw score of Quantitative Aptitude and their normalized score is showing the huge difference that also in negative series which is disturbing for the candidates.
We have also sent the mail on the official mail id of SSC to know the appropriate answer about the huge difference. Normalization of marks is done because the exam is conducted in multiple shifts with a different set of question papers. SSC uses the normalization formula to calculate the final score of a candidate based on the difficulty of its shift. The formula is based on the average marks scored in a particular shift that determines the difficulty level.

As we can see in the above snip the raw score of Quantitative Abilities is 159 and after normalization, the score is 36.73855 but in the same case the score of English is 171.25 and the normalized score is 174.93.

The score is negative. How is this possible?
