ARI Pune develops “bug sniffer” for detection of pathogens
A device named “bug sniffer” has been developed by the researchers at the Agharkar Research Institute (ARI), Pune for the rapid detection of pathogens. It is a sensitive and low-cost sensor and has the capability to detect as low as ten bacterial cells from a sample size of one millilitre in the duration of just 30 minutes.
IIT Ropar develops ‘WardBot’ for COVID-19 patients
In order to deliver medicines and food to COVID-19 patients in isolation wards without human intervention, a ‘WardBot’ has been developed by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar (Punjab).
It can carry food items and medicines at different beds to patients in the ward.
