Update 9th August 2022: Curtains are down today for the Birmingham Games and India created history by begging up 61 medals out of which 22 gold, 16 silver, and 23 bronze. on the 11th day P V Sindhu and young gun Lakshya Sen lived up expectations by grabbing gold medals as India swept the singles badminton competition while star doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy won the country’s third gold from the badminton court with a straight-game victory over England’s Ben Lane and Sean Mendy at the Commonwealth Games.

Update 6th August 2022:The Indian Contingent has climbed up to Rank 5 in the CWG 2022 Medal Tally on Day 8, Friday, 5 August 2022. The total number of medals bagged by India till now is 26 including Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Winning 9 Gold Medals India has now lifted up to the 5th Spot in the medals tally ahead of Scotland and South Africa. Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Deepak Punia were the ones that won gold in their respective weight categories to take India’s medal tally to 26, including nine gold. This is a very proud moment for the nation as our team is representing India so well. PM Modi also congratulates the Sportsperson with his tweets.
Update 5th August 2022: Today is the 8th day of the Commonwealth Games 2022 and till now India has bagged three gold, two silver, and one bronze, i.e. total of 20 medals. Australia is leading with 112 medals (51 gold, 42 silver, and 39 bronze). England is second with 118 medals, which includes 42 gold, ahead of New Zealand (26). Canada is the third country gold medal count, 17.
