CDS Salary & Career Growth For Air Force Ranks
CDS Air Force Officer Salary: Indian Air Force officers recruited through the CDS examination are posted to the rank of Flying Officer in the pay band 3. The CDS salary of a Flying Officer is in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 in the grade pay 5400. The Flying Officer is promoted to the post of Flight Lieutenant after 2 years of service. CDS Allowances, Perks and Other Benefits
1. Dearness Allowance (DA)
It is admissible at the same rates as applicable to the civilian personnel from time to time.
2. Transport Allowance
For pay level 9 and above, Rs 7,200+DA thereon for Higher TPTA Cities and Rs 3,600+DA thereon for other places per month.
3. Accommodation
CDS officers are given accommodation by the government or the house rent allowance as per the norms.
4. Uniform Allowance
In the newly proposed allowances, Uniform allowance of Rs 20,000 per year has been included for the defence officers.
5. Children Education Allowance
Children Education Allowance are given to officers with children and are admissible from Nursery to Class 12.
6. High Altitude Allowance
Officers risking their lives at high altitude are provided high altitude allowance in addition to other allowances according to the areas they are posted.
