APPSC Exam Postponed: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has decided to postpone the Departmental Test until further notice. The commission has decided to postpone the APPSC Exam due to the increasing coronavirus cases in the state. The exam was scheduled to be conducted from 25th August to 1st September. The APPSC has postponed the scheduled Departmental Tests, on the suggestions made by the public representatives and in view of the current Covid-19 situation in the state.
APPSC Exam Postponed
The APPSC exams were scheduled to be held at 117 venues in the state of Andhra Pradesh. A total of 1,72,703 candidates were supposed to appear in all papers. Due to the coronavirus, the Commission was forced to increase the examination centres and were compelled to allot candidates to places other than their districts and to follow the SOP for the examination. The Andhra Pradesh Commission will be taking all safety precautions for the examination in view of the Covid-19 situation. The new exam dates have not yet been announced. Exam dates are expected to be announced toward the end of August or in the first week of September 2020.
All the Tests except Language and Survey & Settlement Tests will be of Objective Type. The Language Tests and Survey & Settlement Tests will be of Conventional Type. The Objective Type is Computer Based Tests and Conventional Type is Offline Examinations.The commission has urged candidates to cooperate with the commission, as every care has been taken at centers nearer to their home districts. The Commission had also requested the state transport department, to run buses to and from all districts to provide candidates hassle-free transport.
