Adda247 Supports JANTA CURFEW : Stay Home

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a televised address to the nation, announced a Janata Curfew from 7 am to 9 pm on  Sunday, 22nd March, in an attempt to stop the spread of deadly coronavirus that has already claimed 4 lives in the country and infected over 250 people across the nation.

The Janta Curfew will be implemented for 14 hours from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. The Prime Minister urged people to stay off the roads and public places during this time. He, however, clarified that all the essential services like media, police, medical services will not come under the curfew.

He requested that every person must try and inform 10 other people about Janta Curfew and ways to protect oneself from coronavirus.

Prime Minister Modi urged people to express their gratitude to lakhs of people who are working at airports, hospitals and performing their duties related to transportation and sanitation during the coronavirus outbreak.

“I want that on 22 March, we express our gratitude towards them. At 5 pm on Sunday, we must stand on doors, windows, balconies, of our homes and express our gratitude for five minutes,” PM said, adding that people can do so by clapping or ringing bells.
