SSC CHSL 2017 Recruitment Notification Out:

Dear Students, SSC has extended the date again for Application process due to heavy traffic on the server of the Commission, some candidates are facing problems in submission of online application. Now, candidates can apply upto 27th December 2017 (till 5:00 PM). Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the recruitment notification for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Data Entry Operator(DEO).

Closing Date:27th December 2017 (till 5:00 PM)

Note: As regards payments made through challan, it is informed that in those cases where the challans have been generated by the aspiring candidates upto 5.00 P.M. on 27.12.2017, they could make the payment to the designated Branches of SBI using the said challan, within the working hours of the Bank upto 29.12.2017.

When will  the exam be conducted?
Staff Selection Commission will hold the examination from 4th March 2018 to 26th March 2018  in a computer based pattern.

What is the age criteria to apply in this Examination?
Different post have different age criteria. Candidates are required to make sure about their age and qualification before applying for the examination. Age-Relaxation Permissible beyond the Upper age limit.

What will be the mode of applying the examination?

What would be the fee structure?
General Candidates: Rs 100/-
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation) are exempted from paying application fee as per extant Government Orders.

Mode of Examination : Examination will be held in a computer based pattern. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

This is a (DES)descriptive exam and is conducted offline. Candidates need to write Essay/Letter/Application/Precis. This is to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. The best way to prepare for the same is to read lots of articles from various newspapers. Focus on the Intro. and conclusion of the Essay. Apart from this, you need to be well aware of the pattern of Letter and Application.

Important Points:
  • The time duration is 60 minutes and carries 100 marks.
  • The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy.
SSC CHSL Tier-III Examination
Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.
The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

What will be the items that one has to carry along with Admit card?
Candidates should bring 3 passport size colour photographs. Candidates not carrying photographs may not be allowed to appear in the examination. In case the scanned photograph(s) appearing in the Commission’s copy of Admission Certificate and or on Attendance Sheet is not clear invigilators are required to verify the identity of the Candidate with reference to the photo ID Proof and get colour photographs pasted on the Commission’s copy of Admission Certificate and or on Attendance Sheet

What will be criteria of Selection?

Candidates will be shortlisted and recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their total marks in the Paper – I & II and preference for the posts.
