SSC has changed the pattern of SSC CGL exam from 2016. The reasoning is not tough for SSC Exam. There are 25 questions for 50 marks in this section. For getting full marks in Reasoning, First you will have to give all the previous papers, then you will have to find your mistakes, then you will have to study these mistakes and you will have to prepare more. After that, give Mock tests daily, definitely, you will start getting confidence and you will score highest marks in reasoning section. 

Quantitative Aptitude is the most important part of SSC CGL Examination. There are 25 questions for 50 marks in this section. A lot of students are facing the problem in this section.The Quantitative Aptitude test measures the numerical ability and accuracy in mathematical calculations of the candidates. The questions range from purely numeric calculations to problems based on Ratio, proportions, Percentage, geometry, trigonometry and Data Interpretation etc. For cracking this section you should have knowledge about trend based on previous year. First Give one mock test and assess yourself. Then Solve previous years papers. If you have any doubt on any topic, read NCERT books and study notes available on our website. Then again give 2 mock test daily for practice and assessment. Remember, quant is about practice. There is no other alternative to practice when it comes to maths.


General awareness can be scoring too. This is the section which is always in the region of uncertainty. In this section, SSC has the liberty to choose any topic & ask any type of questions related to topics because General Awareness covers vast syllabus which covers Science, History, Geography, Polity, Economy and Current Affairs.

For an overall understanding of English Language, Students need to cultivate reading habits. Now Since, as you don't have much time left for the SSC CGL Pre Exam 2017,  read a newspaper daily and practice questions and mock tests as much as you can. Focus on your positive areas and make sure you score best in such topics.
For Sentence Improvements, knowledge of tenses, sentence structure is required. So, learn and memorise important structures in the English language. For Error Detection, Knowledge of Subject-verb agreement, pronouns, adjectives, conjunctions, determiners, and tenses is required. Revise and learn all important rules for this section. For Fill in the blank type Questions, Focus on Prepositions/phrasal verbs and vocabulary. Questions are asked from these two topics. For One Word Substitution, memorise all important and frequently asked at least 300 words. For Idioms/Phrases, memorise all important and frequently asked at least 300 words/phrases. For Comprehension, Practice mock tests.  The trick is to read the questions first and then read the passage. This way you can save your precious time. your reading habits come handy in this section. For Antonym/Synonym/Spellings, learn, memorise and practice mock tests.  Always maintain a personal vocab diary, note down all the important vocabulary that you encounter in your newspaper reading. This habit will benefit you a lot.

Important Note: SSC repeats its questions!

The biggest truth with SSC is that SSC does repeat questions and that too in all sections (Reasoning, Math, English and General Awareness). Have a look at the last 4-5 year question papers of SSC CGL Exams and you will find out that, there are around 2-3 questions in each section which are repeated every time. It is, therefore, necessary to solve Previous Year Papers. At the end, Most importantly You all need to stay positive throughout the exam process, stay away from negative people and distractions.
